Weaving the door
In the new workshop, are four “L” shape weaving units.
Out of these four, three units are now at work and various fabrics are woven every day.
The last unit "no.2" is still under construction.
This unit will be the heart of the workshop with Chiaki's design space.
Traditional Indian materials are used for building this unit such as bricks, bamboo, lantana, cow dong and mud.

Lantana is the invasive plant from outside rampant around this area.
It is good to utilize this tough material which is free and abundant.

Now the workers are weaving doors with lantana sticks on the bamboo frames.
The doors will be fixed to the openings of the wall facing the court yard.
